DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As an IT Generalist I on the Helpdesk team, you'll be a key player in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, providing exceptional customer service, and staying updated with the latest technological advancements. Your ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and your commitment to continuous learning will be essential in driving our mission forward.
- Onsite and In-Person Support: Provide comprehensive onsite and in-person technical support for laptops, desktop services, printers, fax machines, Windows operating systems, network connectivity, VPN, VDI, Microsoft Office, telephones, peripheral devices, and mobile devices.
- Customer Service: Deliver exceptional customer service both in person and virtually to Treasury staff, ensuring their technical needs are met promptly and efficiently.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the Help Desk team to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, fostering a team-oriented environment.
- Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-update with evolving technologies and continuously enhance your technical skills to support the Treasury's IT infrastructure.
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
- One year as an Information Technology Trainee or Information Technology Technician; or
- One year of information technology experience in applications maintenance, networking or desktop services, or other information technology support/administration services, and an associate's degree in any information technology field; or
- Three years of information technology experience in applications maintenance, networking or desktop services, or other information technology support/administration services; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
- You must have experience using Microsoft computer applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook and demonstrated experience with troubleshooting techniques in Microsoft Windows environment.
- You must have experience prioritizing tasks, managing multiple responsibilities, and meeting deadlines effectively and in assigned time frames.
- You must be familiar with the component parts of personal computers, peripherals, servers, and their associated functionality.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
- Experience in IT, including IT support services involving hardware and software installation, operation, and maintenance.
- Prior Information Technology Helpdesk customer service experience.
- Possession of any Microsoft certification.
