The Development Assistant supports the Technology and Gift Services team members at Boston Children's Hospital Trust. Using a broad understanding of the department's fundraising philosophy, they employ a number of administrative, organization and communication skills in helping to support fundraising activities at the Trust.

This Development Assistant, Technical & Gift Services will:

  • Provide general office support, which includes heavy scheduling and maintenance of meeting calendars for department leadership; scheduling appointments and meetings both in-person and via Zoom.
  • Perform system updates, user testing and maintenance of our Blackbaud CRM system.
  • Maintain constituent information in donor database including biographical information, Trust codes, solicitor actions and proposal information.
  • Help to manage vendor relations and negotiations for the department
  • Prepare invoices, including payment of requisitions for vendors, employee reimbursements and serves as contact to resolve discrepancies. May reconcile monthly bills with overall budget.
  • Assist supervisor with projects and preparation of reports and documents, as needed.

To qualify, you must have:

  • Minimum of an Associate's Degree and 4 years of related work experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred and would replace the experience requirement.
  • Volunteer or fundraising experience is a plus.
  • Critical thinking skills/ability to communicate professionally.
  • Demonstrates critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal).
  • Ability to manage time effectively.
  • Basic Microsoft Office Suite skills (WORD, Excel, PowerPoint).
