What you will do: The Database Developer II will work on theSplit System Product Engineeringteam thatis part of Residential Ducted Systems for Johnson Controls. In this division we manufacture and assemble heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment for the light commercial and residential markets. Ducted Systems Johnson Controls has three plants with approximately 1500 employees each; one in Wichita, KS, one in Cienega Mx, and the other in Norman, OK. This position will be located in our Wichita, KS plant and will report to the Director of Engineering. This position will be responsible for supporting the current effort to make Ducted Systems the standard of the industry through development and support of engineering database systems utilizing all aspects of design and software engineering. Key elements of the Database Developer role are to analyze and execute database design changes and enhancements for managing technical data for new product introductions, to stay up to speed on initiatives, and to execute against prioritized list of project activities or requests as more senior Developers need executed. My experience includes work in water source heat pumps, residential AC/ heat pumps, coils, and air handlers. My interests revolve around developing high quality, cost competitive, strong performing residential HVAC systems.
