Position Scope and Charter:

We are seeking candidates for the position of Supervisor, Logistics at the Indianapolis site. The individual will oversee our Pack/Ship and Receiving teams. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate efficient material delivery and contractual due dates are met.

Essential Tasks:

The following is a sample of the various tasking required of the Supervisor, Logistics. The omission of specific responsibilities does not exclude them from the position if the tasking is comparable or logically associated to the position.



  • Manages a team of 10+ individuals.
  • Plans, schedules, and manages the efficient movement of material from Receiving, internal material delivery (IMD), and Pack/Ship
  • Support and instill a culture of safety and quality.
  • Plan, organize and manage the work to ensure that work is accomplished in a manner consistent with organizational requirements.
  • Perform supervisory functions such as scheduling and prioritizing work assignments, conduct performance appraisals, takes disciplinary action, and makes promotion recommendations.
  • Perform interviews and make staffing recommendations.
  • Share key organizational communications with teams and ensure appropriate actions are completed.
  • Work on action plans related to improvement.
  • Maintain the data necessary for compliance with the various facility certifications.
  • Perform related work as required.
  • Assist in the creation of KPI metrics for Pack/Ship.
  • Perform Root Cause Analysis for Corrective actions on safety and quality.


Minimum Educational / Work Experience Requirements:



  • A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 3 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum1 year experience, or an equivalent amount of experience in lieu of a degree.


Preferred Experience:



  • Contract review and DD250 creation.
  • Experience working with 3PL (third party logistics) vendors.
  • Experience working in a Union/Non-union mixed environment.
  • International shipments and EX/IM requirements


Computer Skills:



  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office with a particular emphasis on Excel.
  • Proficient with SAP or similar Enterprise Resource Planning software.


Communication Skills:



  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must.
  • Ability to communicate technical concerns in a manor the audience can understand.
  • Strong people skills with the ability to handle difficult discussions.


Security Requirements:



  • The candidate must meet the requirements necessary to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance.
