Medicare Business Intelligence Analyst

This position is a fully remote position.

Job Summary

As a Business Intelligence Analyst, this position will play a key role in driving data driven decisions across our organization. This position will manage Medicare MMR files and other CMS files like FEF, MPWRD, and DTRR data analytics and utilize the data in reporting and the detection of anomalies to make an impact on healthcare outcomes and operating margin. The Business Intelligence Analyst will leverage a variety of databases and tools, including Microsoft Access, Oracle, Apex, Tableau, Power BI, ETL, Python, and Snowflake, to develop and maintain comprehensive data models and reports. The Business Intelligence Analyst will transform complex data sets into actionable insights, allowing stakeholders to make informed decisions. In addition, this position supports will support the Medicare Operations team with key projects such as migrating from Oracle to Alteryx Snowflake, migrating TriZetto EAM Facets to EPIC Tapestry and implementing our new Medicare HIDE-SNP plan.

Essential Functions
  • Extracts, transforms, and loads data from diverse sources to maintain and update our data warehouse.

  • Develops interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau, Power BI, and other data visualization tools.

  • Collaborates with cross functional teams to gather and define business requirements for reporting and analytics projects.

  • Analyzes large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support strategic business objectives.

  • Ensures data quality and consistency across various databases, including Oracle SQL and Microsoft Access.

  • Utilizes Python for advanced data analysis and automation of data processes.

  • Implements and optimizes data workflows using Alteryx and Snowflake to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

  • Supports ad hoc analysis and reporting needs across the organization.

  • Applies strong knowledge of Agile practices and ceremonies to facilitate efficient project completion. Develops and delivers change-related communications and messages, using various channels and formats, to inform, engaged, and motivate the stakeholders.

  • Analyzes, designs, codes, configures, tests, debugs, deploys, documents and maintains reporting assets.

  • Works with internal and external teams to define necessary information and create solutions based on requirements.

  • Supports processes and quality improvement activities.

  • Performs job-related duties in conformance with DS standards.

  • Provides analytics that can turn data into critical information in understanding a systemic business need.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent

  • 2 years of experience of business intelligence experience

Preferred

  • Strong understanding ability to analyze MMR data to identify data discrepancies and patterns.

  • Your proficiency in data visualization to transform complex data sets into actionable insights, allowing stakeholders to make informed decisions

  • Experience building and understanding complex Microsoft Access database procedures and forms.

  • Experience using Tableau, Snowflake, Python, ETL and Automation tools.

  • Change management experience is not required but highly recommended. The skills acquired during this project will provide a strong foundation for future positions within the organization.
