Job Description:

The Cyber Security Engineer role is responsible for implementing, operating, and maintaining security and inventory management tools, processes, and procedures employed for securing and reducing the security risk to the manufacturing environment. A key part of this role is keeping track of and reporting progress on OS upgrades, Security Tool installs for hundreds of endpoints in the manufacturing environment using Microsoft Excel.

  • Provide recommendations to Cyber Engineering management and stakeholders to create achievable and realistic deliverables
  • Support Cyber Engineering management in the prioritization of security tools feature(s) and enhancement(s
  • Participate in complex problem activities
  • Prioritize response and remediation for emerging issues and risks
  • Collaborate with Service Recipients and stakeholders to understand business pain points, their impacts, root causes, business needs, and solution realistic outcomes
  • Make recommendations on toolset and process modifications and make improvements within production IT Security support.
  • Participate in documentation and adherence to Security Policies and Operating Procedures.
  • Any DoD 8570.01 Approved Certifications Recommended ( Network+, Security+ and etc )

Responsibilities

    • Implement and manage cybersecurity measures across all platforms and networks.
    • Troubleshoot Windows, Linux, and Mac OS environments with a strong emphasis on networking.
    • Create and manage detailed reports using advanced Excel skills.
    • Develop and deliver presentations, effectively communicating technical information to all levels of staff.
    • Maintain effective working relationships with team members and other departments.
    • Ensure the security of IOT devices and integrate cybersecurity practices into their management.
    • Work cooperatively as a team member or independently on projects as required.
    • Interpret and apply rules, regulations, and procedures related to cybersecurity.
    • Gather, analyze, and present data and findings to stakeholders.
    • Work along with Network team to secure local and wide area networks (LAN/WAN) based on established concepts and protocols.
    • Provide timely support for any security or IT-related issues on the manufacturing product line to prevent downtime and ensure continuous operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Information Systems, Cyber Security, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of professional experience in cyber security or IT technical roles.
  • Strong networking knowledge, including local and wide area networking concepts and protocols.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in Windows OS and networking environments.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze and present facts effectively.
  • Advanced Proficiency in Excel for reporting and data management.
  • Excellent presentation skills, capable of conveying technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of IT security processes, controls, and core infrastructure concepts.

Pay Range:

USD $129,450.00 - USD $215,740.00 Year

The level of this role will be based on applicable experience, education, and skills; most offers will be be between the minimum and the midpoint of the salary range listed.
Note: For other locations, pay ranges will vary by region
