Requisition ID req33401 Working Title Operations Specialist Position Grade 11 Position Summary Dermatology is seeking an experienced and motivated Operations Specialist. This position oversees and manages various tasks and functions within the department. With their main focus being in HR processes and clinical research management. Some responsibilities include: Coordinate Staff Hiring: Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies and processes to attract qualified candidates; collaborate with hiring manager to identify staffing needs and create job postings; source and screen candidates, conduct interviews, and coordinate the selection process; oversee the onboarding and orientation of new employees. Oversee Faculty Services: Partner with Department Administrator to effectively recruit and hire faculty members; collaborate with Chair to organize ranking, interviews and in-person candidate visits; work with OAFCD, FCO and CA to hire/credential and on-board new faculty; partner with Department leadership to oversee the promotion and tenure process and the faculty mentoring program. Manage & Support Clinical Research Program: Responsible for the day-today administrative and procedural operation of the Clinical Research program. The individual will oversee fiscal, operational, administrative and human resources management of the program. Provide day-to-day technical/professional guidance and leadership to the staff and faculty researchers; and serves as principal point of representation and liaison with internal and external constituencies on operational matters. Conditions of Employment Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED; at least 7 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
