Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Sr. Campaign Director of Development - Long Island Region.

The Senior Campaign Director of Development, Long Island Region (SCD-LI) is a high-impact leadership role within NYU Langone Health's Office of Development & Alumni Affairs. Reporting to the Vice President, the SCD-LI will shape and execute the philanthropic strategy for NYULH's growing Long Island footprint, while serving as a senior architect and driver of a major regional campaign aligned with NYU Langone's overarching institutional goals.
This individual will be instrumental in advancing NYULHs visibility and philanthropic presence on Long Island partnering with clinical and administrative leaders, campaign counsel, and colleagues across the enterprise to lead a coordinated effort that fuels growth, innovation, and excellence in care. The SCD-LI will oversee a high-performing team and build meaningful donor relationships that translate into transformational support.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a strategic partner in the design and implementation of a comprehensive, multi-year regional campaign leading Long Islands philanthropic expansion in alignment with institutional priorities.
  • Raise a minimum of $15M annually through major and principal gifts.
  • Build and manage a high-value portfolio of donors and prospects, including grateful patients, community leaders, and new constituents capable of five-, six-, and seven-figure commitments.
  • Lead and mentor a team of 2+ gift officers, fostering a culture of strategic execution, collaboration, and continuous growth.
  • Provide vision and guidance to the Long Island Advisory Board and Campaign Cabinet, empowering members to be ambassadors and advocates in support of regional campaign priorities.
  • Engage and direct fundraising consultants as appropriate to guide campaign strategy, messaging, and execution within the Long Island region.
  • Partner with Long Island-based faculty and leadership to elevate philanthropic opportunities and connect donors to the mission in meaningful ways.
  • Coordinate with fellow Senior Campaign Directors and the VP for Giving on high-level donor strategy, campaign milestones, and stewardship of eight-figure prospects.
  • Contribute to an enterprise-wide culture of excellence by sharing insights, aligning best practices, and supporting joint cultivation opportunities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of NYULHs mission and strategic growth.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelors degree required
10-14+ years of experience in healthcare fundraising with a proven track record of success managing complex portfolios, soliciting, and securing new commitments and building lasting relationships with major gift donors.
Minimum of 5 years supervisory and management experience strong interest in effective collaboration, communication, team building and team management.

Experience with creating project budgets.

Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated success leading complex fundraising initiatives and securing major and principal gifts.
Strong campaign expertise including experience designing and executing multi-year fundraising campaigns.
Familiarity with the Long Island philanthropic community strongly preferred.
Proven ability to build and grow donor pipelines, engage new supporters, and deepen relationships with existing benefactors.
Outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
High emotional intelligence, integrity, and professionalism; able to serve as a trusted representative of NYULH.
Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
Energized by collaboration and motivated by measurable results.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $213,477.55 - $300,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
