Overview
Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a Design Technician with prior CADD experience to join our growing Telecom team in our Columbia, MD office! Responsibilities
- Set up and detail plans by analyzing sketches, notes, and other input material to determine the best approach for the completion of drawings.
- Work from sketches to produce computer-generated graphs, charts, overlays, and isometric drawings including digital terrain models and surfaces.
- Conform to the company's standard CADD procedures for layering and standard drawing procedures for sheet layout.
- Create and setup plan sets.
- Prepare conceptual layouts with parameters provided.
- Work with numerous project teams to help in project completion.
- Coordinate details and dimensions between drawing sheets.
- Prepare project exhibits.
- Address assignments of increased difficulty as proficiency is increased.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED is required; Associate's degree or a certification from a technical school is a plus.
- 2+ years of CADD experience in a related field is required.
- Increasing proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D Land Desktop Companion, AutoCAD Civil 3D, AutoTURN, and other related software.
- Good communication skills and comfortability with asking questions, when needed.
- Ability to understand and follow directions.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
Requires a pre-employment drug screen.
