Job Description

Manages, monitors, and assures that quality nutritional care is provided to all patients, including tray delivery, screening, assessment, reassessment and patient and family education in both the inpatient and outpatient setting for patients from a range of multicultural and educational backgrounds as well as throughout the lifecycle. Serves as the technical advisor for patient nutrition services to allied health, including medical staff, nursing and other support services. Provides direction in the development of the Hospital's nutritional care policies and procedures, provides guidance for menu development and modification, evaluates patient nutritional care practices and monitors the department Performance Improvement program in accordance with state and federal regulations. Oversees the operation of the Milk Kitchen in the NICU. Will perform functions including scheduling, performance evaluations, employee engagement and employee discipline. Performs other job related functions as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors' degree in food and nutrition required with Master's degree in related field desirable.

  • Three (3) years of experience in a clinical supervisory or management role desired, preferably in a progressive acute care setting.

  • Certification in a nutrition specialty desirable (i.e., CNSD, CDE, Renal).

  • Registered with the Commission on Dietetic Registration and the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.

  • Personnel and project management experience.

  • Proficient in patient EMR and nutrition software systems, word processing and database programs.

License/Certification/Registration Requirements

  • Registered Dietitian required

Salary Range:

$61.84 - $92.76 USD Hourly
