What You'll Do

This position will be located at our Corporate Office: 2355 W Pinnacle Peak Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85027

The Social Media Specialist is responsible for creating compelling content for all Credit Union social media channels, using graphic design, photography, and knowledge of current social media trends to produce on-brand, creative digital content for various social media platforms. The Social Media Specialist works with internal and external partners to implement our social media content strategy and ensure brand consistency. The role is highly collaborative, working with Marketing department team members, including management, designers, project managers, and content specialists.

  • Ideate, create, and curate captivating digital content, including but not limited to videos, photographs, graphics, GIFs, and infographics, that resonate with applicable audience.
  • Research social media trends and implement quickly into the organizational strategy.
  • Work closely with the creative team to ensure content is consistent and represents organization's brand.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop content aligned with organization's social media strategy, target audience, and marketing objectives.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve performance of social media.
  • Develop and implement new and alternative ways to leverage social media activities.
  • Monitor social and digital media trends, tools and applications, and appropriately apply knowledge to social media channels.
  • Capture photography and video for social media and other marketing uses.
  • Ensure organization's messaging and brand standards are met in all social media posts.
  • Assist with social media channel management, along with writing and reporting, as needed.
  • Responsible for other marketing graphic design support as needed.

Travel Requirements: Travel to locations throughout Arizona may be required.

What You Bring

  • H.S. Diploma Required
  • Bachelor's degree Multimedia, Communications Required.
  • 3-5 years similar or related experience
  • 3-5 years similar or related experience in video and graphic content creation. Required
  • Portfolio of past social reels, graphics, videos, and photos. Required
  • Proficiency in copywriting, grammar, proofreading, and editing.
  • Strong design aesthetics skills and the ability to create visually compelling content.
  • Experience creating engaging reels, designing graphics, and other media that has been successful on social media.
  • Knowledge of best practices for all social media platforms.
  • Expertise with Adobe Creative Cloud programs (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere).
  • Technical knowledge of cameras, lighting, and other photography and video equipment.
  • Experience with social platforms, analytics tools, and customer relationship management (CRM) systems (e.g., HubSpot, Hootsuite).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, attention-to-detail, time management, multitasking, and high-quality standard skills.
  • Strong teamwork, collaboration, interpersonal, and positive attitude skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-pace, deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to exercise independent, professional judgment, prioritize tasks, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to be agile and flexible - transition quickly and adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications required.
  • Ability to be flexible regarding scheduling for assignments, projects, and events requiring preparation, attendance, and wrap-up outside of business hours.
