The Role

As the Workshop Manager, you will coordinate and supervise the workshop technicians. He/she organizes equipment maintenance and repair activities, ensuring compliance with deadlines, quality standards and safety rules. The supervisor is also responsible for the workshop technicians, ensuring customer satisfaction and meeting performance targets.

The Workshop Manager will be responsible for the daily operations of the workshop, its technicians, and the flow of service requests. The following job duties are not all-inclusive:



  • Ensure compliance with safety instructions and internal procedures
  • Plan and coordinate repair and maintenance work
  • Monitor and ensure deadlines are met
  • Diagnose complex breakdowns and propose technical solutions
  • Supervise the use of tools and equipment
  • Manage and lead a team of technicians and mechanics
  • Train teams in new techniques and equipment
  • Write activity reports and intervention sheets
  • Monitor performance indicators and suggest improvements
  • Collaborate with other departments (logistics, quality, coordination, etc.)
  • Implement continuous improvement actions
  • Raise team awareness of good environmental practices
  • Provide back-up for the warehouse function when needed



This role has three direct reports.

This role is in-person 90% of the time

  • Bachelor's degree in industrial maintenance, electromechanics or mechanics is preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered
  • 5 years' professional experience in an after-sales service
  • In-depth knowledge of the vacuum field
  • Excellent understanding of after-sales service activities
  • People management
  • Management of stakeholders at different levels, inside and outside the organization
  • Communication skills to explain expectations, make decisions understandable and positively influence the team.
  • Ability to build trust and adopt an empathetic communication style, listening to all voices within the team.
  • Encourage team members to propose innovative ideas and solutions, and share lessons learned and best practices.
  • Relevant Previous experience (minimum years of experience to competently carry out the role, not total year of experience)
