As our Senior Supervisor - Unapplied Cash, the primary focus will be to ensure accuracy in accounting and timely delivery of reporting to lead our Unapplied Cash Accounting team.

The Unapplied Cash team is responsible for reconciliation of Unapplied Cash within our reconciliation software and identifying opportunities to automate and enhance our processes in a fast-paced and changing environment.



Your Impact

    Review, analyze and monitor the unapplied cash account to ensure accurate and timely reconciliation
  • Work with Revenue Cycle teams to resolve unapplied cash posting errors and bank reconciliation variances.
  • Lead effort to improve unapplied cash reporting and process optimization in Oracle
  • Oversee the preparation of monthly journal entries and assist in other aspects of the monthly and quarterly close process such as flux analysis and ad hoc reporting
  • Assist in the fulfillment of external and internal audit requirements
  • Ensure SOX compliance
  • Grow, Administer, and Guide assigned team members
  • Provide support on ad-hoc projects as required


Minimum Qualifications

To be formally considered for the role, the following requirements must be met:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting.
  • Minimum five years of accounting experience, At least one in a Supervisory function

Preferred:

  • Master's degree in accounting preferred
  • CPA is a plus
  • Cash accounting or Accounts Payable experience preferred
  • Previous audit experience preferred
  • Health care industry experience is a plus

The ideal candidate will also possess:

  • Strong understanding of US GAAP
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage others
  • Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Proficiency in Excel and financial reporting software, Oracle or Netsuite a plus
  • Ability to work under pressure with strict time constraints
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the capability to quickly develop working relationships across teams and communicate both up and down the corporate hierarchy
