Job Summary:

Perform and monitor work that ensures company compliance with regulatory and legal requirements, as well as internal policies; work with management and staff to identify and manage risk associated with regulatory requirements; Support internal and third party audits to ensure compliance with industry standards. In collaboration with employees, Supervisors, and Managers: coordinate the curriculum, resources, scheduling, personnel, tracking, and ongoing growth of the Viper Northwest training program to meet training goals. Maintain ISO compliant documentation management system.

Content Creation

  • Develop training curriculum in the form of documents, presentations, slide decks, videos, course schedules, work instructions, etc. that convey the responsibilities and how to complete the responsibilities of positions.

System Management

  • Manage learning software as available to ensure records are complete and employees have access as appropriate. Utilize learning software to distribute learning materials and build training cards on Company, Department, Team, and Individual levels as reusable templates.

Compliance Management

  • Design and implement programs, policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant federal and state laws and regulatory requirements
  • Ensures that current and emerging business activities meet compliance requirements; most specific to ISO and ITAR certifications and regulations
  • Keep up to date on laws and regulations that apply to company activities

Process Management

  • Develops, implements, and maintains procedures by analyzing current processes and recommending changes

Document Control

  • Facilitate the Document Change Request Process in SharePoint

Empowered Official

  • Having split authority Quality Manager for policy or management within the company
  • Being legally empowered in writing to sign license applications or other requests for approval on behalf of the applicant
  • Having the slit authority with QM to:
    1. Inquire into any aspect of a proposed export or import by Viper
    2. Verify the legality of the transaction and the accuracy of the information to be submitted
    3. Refuse to sign any license application or other request for approval without prejudice or other adverse recourse
    4. Performing due diligence on End User Undertakings/Certificates

  • Ensures compliance with federal and state laws, all core processes are clearly and correctly written and formatted, and conform to Viper Northwest (Document Management) standards. Development and writing of training standards
    1. A training system that identifies training needs, tracks results, and promotes employee growth and development

Job Requirements

Education, Experience, Certifications, Licenses

  • High school diploma and minimum 2+ years of experience in implementing, managing, and administering export compliance programs. Proficient working knowledge of US import/export regulations and the ability to maneuver through the regulations with fluency. Experience as an Empowered Official. Must be eligible to be an Empowered Official under the ITAR.

Computer Skills

  • Excel: writing formulas & macros, Word, Visio, PowerPoint, Outlook, & Crystal Reports.

Language Skills

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common technical documents; such as, prints, data sheets, and travelers. Ability to interface with internal customers, external customers and outside vendors via electronic communications and in person, in a professional manner.

Mathematical Skills

Intermediate math skills such as, addition, subtraction, percentages, and fractions.

Reasoning Ability

  • Ability to define problems, collect and compare data, and deal with a variety of options in complex situations.

Physical Demands

  • This is a largely sedentary role; however, standing for periods is required. Requires the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, bend, turn, and lift office products or supplies weighing up to 20 pounds.

Work Environment

  • This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This position is eligible for the telecommuting policy.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
