Sony Electronics is looking for an Expert Product Representative. The Sony Pro Support Team is a Customer Service Team dedicated to creating a 'Best in Class Customer Experience' for Imaging Professionals using our Sony Alpha Cameras and Lenses. The team works to strengthen new customer relationships and build the foundation for new growth opportunities. We are seeking to add a team member with a background working on both the still and video side of the industry. This role will support the technical training and education of professional customers, provide consultation and assistance to internal sales teams, as well as provide event support for key sporting events, marketing events, and trade shows.

Responsibilities

Grow Sony Market Share in the Professional Market

  • Prospect potential customers (Freelance, Independent Studio, Agency and Education)

  • Schedule evaluation loans and provide support during evaluation period.

  • Conduct Trainings and Follow ups: virtual meetings, over the phone, via email, and in-person

  • Maintain customer database of territory and stay connected with appropriate follow-up communication engagement

Event Support

  • Sports/Event Depot: Handle advanced depot logistics, on-site setup & teardown, gear check in/out, provide group/one-on-one training, create detailed reports

  • Tradeshows/Industry Events: Assist in booth setup & teardown, staff booth, provide technical and practical information to attendees and business partners

  • Additional Event Activities: Some Speaking and Presentations to small and large groups, hands on product demonstrations, and group classes

Provide Technical Training and Customer Support

  • Conduct Internal/External Trainings, both in-person and virtual

  • Generate training content from provided samples and marketing sources

  • Provide technical assistance and service to customers and stakeholders

Customer Feedback and Reporting

  • Gather, analyze, and provide insights on use case performance in voice of customer reports to

  • Provide competitive feedback based on trends to improve Sony position in the professional market

  • Generate reports following events that summarize activities and provide detailed market share analysis

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 7 plus years of related working experience in Camera industry (Professional photography/videography background

  • Experience dealing with agency professionals a plus

  • Background in video production and knowledge of industry preferred

  • Strong analytical background, product savvy, and willing to learn new skill sets

  • Power Point and Editing Photo/Video proficiency

  • Working Knowledge of Photo and Video Workflows

  • Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

  • Solid oral and written communication skills, and professional presentation skills

  • Strong time management and prioritization skills

  • Ability to work well in a Team oriented environment as a leader and/or contributor

  • Maintain professional demeanor in pressure situations

  • Willing and able to travel up to 60% of the time- requires some oversees travel.

  • Must be able to move parcels of 50lbs

  • Some events require extended workdays

Preferred Skills

  • Experience using competitive products or working with customers using competitive products in the imaging industry

  • Record of successfully transitioning of customers to new systems

  • Experience providing Agency support at large media and or sporting events

  • Experience using Salesforce a plus

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $87,831 to $117,109.

The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.

In addition to a competitive base salary, this position is also eligible for an annual corporate bonus plan, which is based on company performance and is not guaranteed, and a comprehensive benefits package including healthcare benefits (medical, dental, and vision), paid medical leave, a 401k plan with matching company contributions, vacation time, education assistance, student loan assistance program, eighty hours of paid sick leave time annually, and up to twelve weeks paid parental leave.
