POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for creating administrative infrastructure for the department's projects, programs, and routine operations. Involves managing different teams and deliverables, developing and applying project management tools, assessing resource needs and their cost/benefit, contributing to project or program design, and conducting performance data analysis.

Project scope varies widely but will span across clinical and administrative operations, revenue cycle and finance, patient experience, quality and safety, compliance and accreditation, business strategy, marketing, and more.

This position will be a good point of entry for someone looking to learn hospital administration from different angles and develop a diverse project portfolio with a deep understanding of healthcare systems.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's degree required; degree in health administration preferred.In some areas, equivalent work experience, particularly in healthcare,may substitute for education.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Three to five years minimum of project or healthcare administration experience.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:


  • Strong computer skills are essential (Microsoft Office PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Access, Outlook, Teams, Visio, as well as Tableau and EMR exposure).

  • Outstanding communication skills, interpersonal skills, and ability to build strong working relationships at all organizational levels.

  • Strong writing and presentation skills. Effective, professional deliverables with excellent grammar, formatting, and content accuracy.

  • Top-tier self-organization skills, including attention to detail, focus, time management, prioritization, and ability to multitask.

  • Positive contributor with a strong commitment to their own or their team's quality of work and willingness to improve as needed.

  • Excellent judgment, with strong analytical skills and critical thinking, is essential.

  • Must be comfortable with quantitative data manipulation, presentation, interpretation, and reporting.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and high-impact leadership requests.

  • Must be a reliable, responsible, team-oriented contributor.
