Job Description

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

    Strong knowledge of contracts, drawings, estimates, schedule review, and specifications to ensure relation and compliance to project requirements.
  • Obtain, maintain, and manage data, information, communications, and approvals required by project and company requirements between owner, architects, engineers, contractors/subcontractors, or other project related entities.
  • Coordinate, direct and monitor activities of contractors/subcontractors, engineers, architects and related performing entities.
  • Manage project controls, cost, and performance activities and procedures.
  • Lead in project meetings to include documentation, administration, and tracking of relevant information and statuses.
  • Ensure contractor, architect, engineer, and provider contractual requirements on areas of safety, performance, project staff, and equipment.
  • Provide management of project logistics, organization, safety, and manpower utilization.
  • Ensure project closeout to secure guarantees, warranties, and related provisions for final project delivery to owner entities.
  • Conduct daily site visits as required.
  • Review and provide comments in all Construction documents, including change orders, pay applications, monthly schedules, etc.
  • Provide all services and objectives for the application of Vanir's quality services.
  • Prepare and distribute weekly meeting minutes and monthly and quarterly reports as required by the client.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Four-year college baccalaureate-level degree with emphasis in technical disciplines such as Engineering, Urban Planning, Construction Management, Architecture, or equivalent technical area of study is preferred; or 4 years additional qualifying experience in excess to the minimum stated above may be substituted for the required education.
  • Ideal candidates should possess 4 - 6 years of experience as Project or Construction manager of "ground-up" Educational Facility Construction with minimum construction value of $40M. Ability to run multiple projects simultaneously is required.
  • Experience with Division of the State Architect (DSA) construction / design processes is required.
  • Must possess knowledge and application of construction cost estimating /change order management, project controls / scheduling, documentation, engineering / construction principles, techniques, materials, applications, and practices.
  • Understanding of project delivery, time management, and how to deal with unanticipated events and unforeseen conditions.
  • Proven ability to manage architects, engineers, and contractors throughout all project phases.
  • Strong communication, writing, and computer skills are required.
  • Ability to represent Vanir and related entities in a professional manner at all times to ensure company policies and procedures as well as compliance to all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Registration as Architect, Engineer, and/or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) is desired.
  • Experience with Leadership in Energy Design (LEED) certified projects and / or the Collaborative for High Performing Schools (CHPS) is preferred.

Offered rate of compensation will be based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including education, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. The Salary range for this position is $120,000.00-$152,000.00 .
