GENERAL FUNCTION:

Performs a wide range of complex analytical and high-level support functions. With limited supervision, this position applies analytical skills to provide collateral valuation of mortgage servicing rights & other mortgage related assets, consistent data and reporting support for the Financial Institutions Group. This role may also provide oversight of Associates, Analysts and junior resources to ensure the production of a high quality work product. Manages and maintains complex models and presentation materials so that they are accurate and up-to-date and meet the needs and objectives of the team. Formulates internal views of the performance of residential mortgage related assets and mortgage market influences in support of the delivery of asset-backed financing arrangements and corporate loans to clients and prospects. Works with internal Credit and Credit Risk partners on internal approvals and credit policy development, execution and transactions, and idea generation. Develops industry knowledge and transaction support for the Financial Institutions Group with a primary focus in the residential mortgage finance industry.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

. Build and understand complex collateral analysis models

. Perform complex collateral and data analysis with minimal oversight

. Perform periodic collateral valuations, analysis and interpret results related to residential mortgage servicing rights and other related mortgage assets

. Responsible for managing the licensing of necessary financial models and internal surveillance and reporting requirements

. Stay abreast of industry and market trends to enhance quality and accuracy of analysis. Provide surveillance and reporting of loan exposures within the portfolio.

. Create high-impact presentation materials using PowerPoint, Excel, Word and other relevant software programs

. Publish periodic industry market updates for internal use that is relevant to the Mortgage Finance business strategy and/or that could influence our clients.

. Strong understanding of capital structures and capital market trends and the ability to apply to client needs

. Support execution of mortgage-related asset-backed financing, Debt Capital markets (DCM), Equity Capital Markets (ECM) Advisory transactions

. Contribute to credit and financial statement analysis independently

. Coordinate with product partners to develop complex integrated financing solutions and pitch materials for our clients

. Work well as part of a team in a high stress environment

. Develop strong working relationships with peers, product partners and senior bankers throughout the organization

. Manage priorities while working on a number of high priority opportunities simultaneously

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: No direct reports, however incumbent provides oversight and direction for Associates, Analysts and Commercial Leadership Program participants.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED:

. Undergraduate degree required, graduate degree preferred.

. 4 - 8+ years of experience in an analytics-based role in Banking, Investment Banking, M&A or Capital Markets related to the residential mortgage industry.

. Proficiency in credit analysis, corporate finance and underwriting.

. Proven track record of success in working as a part of a team to originate and close complex financial transactions.

. Excellent presentation skills, both oral and written required.

. Proficiency in SAS, SQL, Python programing.

. Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 79 and 63 licenses required.

Compensation:

The base salary for this position is reflective of the range of salary levels for all roles within this pay grade across the US. Individual salaries within this range will vary based on factors such as role, relevant skillset, relevant experience, education and geographic location. In addition to the base salary, this role is eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan, with any such payment based upon company, line of business and/or individual performance.
