Job Summary
This faculty position is a full-time, tenure/clinical track, in-person role within the Physician Assistant program that helps to oversee student academic success. Areas of focus will include coordination of advising for
students, arranging tutor support for students, oversight of student accommodations, leading the Progress and Promotions committee work, and ensuring compliance with accreditation standards. Includes teaching and
supporting students throughout their didactic and clinical education. This individual will report to the Program Director (PD), work closely with Director of Didactic Education (DDE) and Director of Clinical Education
(DCE) and collaborate with program faculty and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the program director in the delivery of the Master of Science in Physician Assistant (MSPA).
  • Collaborate with the Program Director, the Medical Director and the Director of Didactic Education (DDE).
  • Ensure compliance with ARC-PA accreditation standards as it relates to didactic education ((A1.04, A2.05f, A3.01-10, B4.01 - B4.04).
  • Review student performance data, including grades, assessments, and feedback from faculty and preceptors, to assess progress and lead within the remediation process as needed.
  • Coordination with OARS and counseling services as needed and work with course instructors to ensure accommodations are in place for exams.
  • Recruit and schedule tutors from recent graduating cohort for online tutor sessions in fall term.
  • Monitor student progression data (academic milestones) and work with instructors at the end of term to ensure that milestone scores are recorded.
  • Track and interview PANCE non-passers/at-risk students with Program Director.
  • Serve as a faculty advisor for students, as assigned by the PD.Participate in didactic lecture or grading as designated by PD.
  • Arrange and oversee tutor support for students in the fall term.
  • Serve on committees within the program and the University, and serve as an advisor to PA students as assigned by the program director.

Experience

The candidate must be a licensed PA, MD or DO preferably with 3 years of clinical experience. Master's degree or higher required. The ideal candidate will have experience in teaching, preferably in higher education, or
having served as a clinical preceptor for healthcare students (PA, NP or medical student) or having healthcare administration experience.

Additional Information

The position is available immediately. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled. Salary and rank are commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Compensation based on delivery method as follows:

Online undergraduate - $1000/credit hour

Hybrid or Face to Face Undergraduate -$1250/credit hour

Online Graduate School - $1250/credit hour

Hybrid or Face to Face Graduate School - $1500/credit hour
