This position is onsite in our Hanover Park facility Hours 9 am- 6 pm Job Title: Manager of Operations Job Summary: The Manager of Operations for the Sustainability team is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end logistics process. This role requires a strong people leader with a proven ability to drive process improvement, enhance productivity, and reduce costs. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in SAP, Excel, and other relevant software, with a passion for logistics solutions. Responsibilities:
- End-to-End Process Management: Manage the complete cycle of logistics operations, including receiving, warehousing, inventory control, order fulfillment, and shipping, ensuring efficiency and accuracy at each stage.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of logistics teammates, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Set clear expectations, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance evaluations.
- Process Improvement: Continuously analyze and evaluate existing logistics processes, with a focus on optimizing workflows. Develop and implement process enhancements to improve productivity, streamline operations, and reduce operational costs.
- Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels and ensure accuracy through regular audits and cycle counts. Implement inventory control measures, including specific strategies for managing returned goods, to minimize obsolescence, reduce carrying costs, and improve inventory turnover.
- Systems Management: Utilize SAP and other relevant tools to manage logistics operations, track inventory, and generate reports. Leverage Excel and Power BI for data analysis, reporting, and forecasting.
- Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational performance, identify trends, and measure the effectiveness of process improvements, e.g., return rates, recovery rates.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, safety standards, and company policies, including those related to the handling and disposal of returned or hazardous materials. Promote a safe working environment and implement safety protocols to minimize workplace accidents and incidents.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, to ensure seamless coordination and alignment of logistics operations with overall department objectives, with a focus on optimizing the interface between technical and administration teams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in logistics operations management, with increasing levels of responsibility.
- Proven experience in leading and managing logistics teams.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes, including receiving, warehousing, inventory management, and shipping, with significant knowledge of reverse logistics processes.
- Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Excel is required.
- Demonstrated ability to drive process improvement initiatives and achieve measurable results, including in reverse logistics.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Knowledge of sustainability principles and best practices in logistics, with a focus on reverse logistics.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong commitment to safety and compliance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in supply chain management (e.g., CSCP, CLTD).
- Knowledge of Lean principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
