General Summary As the EHS Manager, you will be responsible for achieving a zero accident rate through observation, training and documentation of environmental, safety, fire prevention and health-related laws and regulations. You will also be responsible for coordinating regulatory programs and its permitting applications. Focus on finding opportunities to reduce environmental, safety and health liabilities while providing leadership in the development of responsible programs that represent our culture. Plan and administer training and awareness programs in environmental and safety prevention and protection, and other regulatory issues. Responsibilities
Managers the development and implementation of all environmental, health and safety programs
Conduct compliance reviews, general risk assessments and other safety assessments to support Environmental, Health, Safety and management.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory bodies and standards (including OSHA, EPA, etc.)
Write regulatory submittals, permit applications, permit government citation rebuttals, and other correspondence
Serve as liaison for communication of EHS matters to the public and information exchange with local agencies
Conduct detailed incident investigations and Root Cause Analysis
Provide daily guidance and direction in EHS programs to all employees
Conduct on-going training regarding environmental, safety and health for all employees
Maintain positive and proactive relations with managers and employees, as well as our customers and regulatory agencies
- Co-ordinate and manage all worker's compensation claims and programs.
Maintain accident statistics, analyze trends and propose/take action as necessary
Responsible for implementing global EHS management system operation (ISO 14001, ISO 45001)
Responsible for minimizing environmental pollutants and improve recycling rate
Qualifications
Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in the field of environmental health and safety
Required Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Environmental Health and Safety, or related field.
Preferred Master's degree in Risk Management, Environmental Health and Safety, or related field.
Preferred EHS relational skills and certificates (PE)
