Commercial Customer Profitability Specialist
The specialist will oversee the month-end close process for Commercial Customer Profitability (CCP) by conducting thorough reviews to ensure the accuracy and integrity of reporting. Ideal candidate should have thorough understanding of management accounting concepts, strong foundation in SQL, and experience using business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau. The specialist should be able to work with limited requirements to create meaningful data summaries in Excel, craft basic PowerPoint presentations, and provide insightful commentary on data trends and analysis results. This role provides support and financial analysis to internal customers.
Position Responsibilities:
Monthly Production & Processing
- Coordinate and execute the monthly production process by gathering and analyzing Commercial Customer Profitability (CCP) data, with a focus on variances between CCP and Management Information System (MIS).
- Provide guidance to CCP system analyst on implementing new methodologies and resolving issues related to system allocations using SQL, Workday, and Oracle tools and systems.
- Proactively identify and resolve performance-impacting issues, collaborating with CCP users to assess and communicate impacts.
- Lead and coordinate the monthly reporting and results review process for the assigned product categories.
Financial Analysis and Support
- Provide financial support to relationship managers, business units, and Divisional Finance Officers (DFO's), including leading the presentation of financial results, analysis and insight.
- Deliver objective recommendations, ensure consistent application of CCP and MIS policies, and maintain strong financial oversight.
- Serve as the primary financial partner and actively participate in team meetings.
- Prepare clear written communications and present findings as needed.
Development, Implementation, and Review of CCP Methodologies
- Support development, implementation, and ongoing review of CCP methodologies.
- Collaborate on resolving detailed inquiries and issues related to internal methodologies and policy.
- Assist in executing and evaluating methodology updates to ensure alignment with financial and operational objectives.
- Develop interactive dashboards and reports in Excel and Power BI to support decision-making.
Project Management
- Lead small to med-size projects related to CCP system issues, methodology enhancements, and customer profitability analysis.
- Work with minimal requirements to develop reports and deliver actionable insight that support strategic decision-making.
Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university
- 4 years of experience in financial analysis or financial reporting
- Knowledge in Excel, OFSAA, Hyperion and Power BI preferred
Work Best Category: Category C - Days in the office will either be designated days or will vary week to week from 2-5 days
Hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday
