We're looking for a Senior AWS Cloud Systems Operations Administrator to join our team supporting mission-critical systems in a hybrid cloud environment. This role requires hands-on experience with AWS, Kubernetes, and Linux systems, and offers the opportunity to work on highly secure, impactful projects. Key Responsibilities:
Deploy, manage, and operate workloads on AWS (GovCloud and Commercial). Utilize AWS Console and CLI for cloud operations. Implement and maintain security controls to ensure system compliance (e.g., STIGs). Apply the AWS Well-Architected Framework to optimize performance and reliability. Manage and support Kubernetes clusters (EKS), Lambda, Diode, and other AWS tools. Analyze system requirements and develop detailed documentation, models, and procedures. Collaborate across engineering and security teams to improve cloud operations and security posture.
Required Experience:
10+ years in IT systems administration with strong knowledge of Microsoft and Linux (RHEL preferred) platforms. Proven experience maintaining AWS cloud environments, including patching, upgrades, and compliance. Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, specifically Amazon EKS. CKA certification or equivalent training with at least one year of experience in containerized platforms.
Candidates must hold at least two (2) of the following certifications or training courses, with a minimum of one (1) year of hands-on experience in container orchestration and/or application deployment. (Two years of proven, relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of a certification where applicable.)
