STS Technical Services is hiring Sheet Metal Mechanics with A&P Licenses in Waterford, Michigan. Whether you're just starting out or have a few years of hands-on experience, this is your chance to work on advanced business-class aircraft alongside a dedicated, professional team.

As a Sheet Metal Mechanic, you'll be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and fabricating structural components on turbine-powered, transport-category aircraft. • Perform structural maintenance and repairs on transport-category aircraft in compliance with FAA regulations
  
• Use blueprints, maintenance manuals, and schematics to diagnose and complete structural repairs and modifications
  
• Fabricate, install, and replace sheet metal components using specialized tools and precise measuring equipment
  
• Maintain accurate documentation of all repairs and inspections
  
• Collaborate with FAA representatives, pilots, OEMs, and internal teams to ensure high-quality outcomes
  
• Support compliance with both Part 145 and Part 135 repair and operational standards
  
• Adhere to safety protocols while keeping the work area clean and organized
  
• Work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  
• Perform additional tasks as directed by supervisors
  

• Valid FAA Airframe License required; Powerplant License strongly preferred
  
• 1-2 years of recent experience in aircraft structural maintenance (turbine-powered aircraft preferred)
  
• Experience working in a Part 145 repair station and Part 135 operational environment (required)
  
• Inspection Authorization (IA) is a plus
  
• Strong ability to interpret maintenance documents and technical manuals
  
• Capable of working independently on structural, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
  
• Excellent attention to detail, communication skills, and safety awareness
