DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As an Intelligence Analyst 1, you will be responsible for reviewing, researching, and analyzing intelligence information within the DOC. Your work will be utilized to identify potential threats and protect the safety of our facilities and Parole Agents. This role requires a high degree of discretion, as you will collaborate with federal, state, and local agencies to coordinate sensitive and classified intelligence. You will work independently to determine the validity of intelligence information by evaluating for meaning, reliability, and relevance.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hour work week.
  • Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year of paraprofessional research experience that includes gathering, analyzing, and organizing information, and a bachelor's degree; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training which includes 60 college credits.

Special Requirements:

  • This position requires possession of a Secret Security Clearance issued by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) or attainment of this clearance during the probationary period, and continual maintenance of this clearance during employment in the position.

Additional Requirements:

  • Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

  • You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
