The Sales Account Manager will direct efforts to achieve sales goals in markets in accordance with regional marketing/sales plans. They will also be responsible for the development of new business for specialty films products and maintaining existing business.

Major Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Manage NA sales activities with assigned regional accounts with goal of maximizing sales, profitability at these accounts.
  • Maximize sales growth through new business development activities to support long term growth of Specialty Films.
  • Define and help establish key pricing strategies with sales/commercial lead, to achieve desired market share. Negotiate price revisions and sales contracts.
  • Collect and communicate strategic competitive and industry information to business team to help drive growth strategy initiatives and analyze product offerings/portfolio.
  • Provide account activity reports and consistent tracking of opportunities.
  • Participate in industry associations and trade shows, attending events to maintain and share knowledge on industry trends.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to lower-level employees as needed
  • Engage beyond account level, understand and manage the value chain of assigned accounts.
  • Support NA business analysis and insights generation on need base.
  • Ability to travel up to 75%

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in science or technical discipline with 4 years of commercial experience
  • Previous industrial sales experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of plastic materials; properties, applications and fabrication techniques
  • Familiarity with plastics films extrusion

Knowledge and Skills

  • Proficiency in digital platforms and business software including Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication and selling skills
  • Ability to work in field/home office and be self-motivated
  • Negotiation skills
  • Travel required up to 75%
