How You'll Make an Impact We are seeking a dynamic, self-motivated, creative, and detail-oriented senior environmental planning professional interested in joining our CEQA/NEPA Team. The individual chosen for the position will work collaboratively with Dudek's environmental team in northern and southern California on a wide variety of projects in sectors such as infrastructure, energy, residential, commercial and industrial development, policy evaluation and mitigation planning. This position can be based out of any of our California offices.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Serve as a project manager for CEQA/NEPA document preparation for medium to large scale projects. Coordinates to manage the environmental component of projects program wide, providing guidance, recommendations, document review, and schedule for all environmental clearance documents and processes.
  • Monitors the project scope, schedule and budget and works to verify document content conforms with client standards, procedures and methodologies.
  • Attends stakeholder working group, public hearings or other outreach activities.
  • Interact with various members of public agency and private client staff on matters related to land use planning, project description development, CEQA/NEPA compliance, and public agency/public infrastructure project management and implementation.
  • Promote a culture of teamwork, engagement, quality service, and customer satisfaction to our public and private clients.
  • Foster client connections through existing client relationships and proactive business development in the candidate's areas of strength and interest, working with others to anticipate and pursue work Enhance Dudek's professional reputation and demonstrate the ability to be creative and innovative with these tasks while representing Dudek in a professional manner.
  • Work closely with other Dudek Project Managers to promote our business interests in adherence with the company's mission, vision, and values.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by your supervisor(s)
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental planning, environmental sciences, urban and regional planning, geography, or a closely related field
  • 12 or more years of professional work experience in environmental impact assessment including demonstrated success in CEQA and/or NEPA document preparation with projects that have an emphasis on natural resources.
  • Project management experience overseeing contracts, budgets, schedules and technical staff or subconsultants in the preparation of CEQA/NEPA documents
  • Ability to travel regionally for business; reliable transportation, and a valid driver's license
  • Excellent attention to detail, communication, organization, writing, and presentation skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Powerpoint, Word and Excel software
  • Travel may be required for this position.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and have active personal automobile liability insurance by first day of employment
Compensation: $110,000-$160,000 annually*
*Final agreed-upon compensation will be based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, an individual's related experience, education, certifications, skills, and work location. Successful candidates must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check prior to beginning employment.

  • This job operates in a remote or office-based environment and this role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, etc.
  • This job requires occasional project site visits, based outdoors which can include excessive noise, uneven walking surfaces, extreme weather, and moving vehicles and equipment.
