About the Position The IT Vendor Applications Analyst will act as a liaison between vendors and customers in support of Maricopa County's Transportation, Animal Care and Control, Real Estate, Equipment Services, Environmental Services, Flood Control District, and Planning and Development departments. Our ideal candidate will communicate clearly with customers and various internal technical teams, will work on multiple projects simultaneously, and will be able to establish and maintain vendor relationships. We Require
One year of experience with business processes and vendor support services Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or Business Administration A combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the minimum qualifications on a year-for-year basis
We Also Value
Comprehensive understanding of initial troubleshooting processes for business applications or system failures, with experience in documenting and resolving issues. Knowledge of IT frameworks such as DevOps, ITIL, AGILE, Change Management, and conducting Root Cause Analysis. Help desk or tier 2/3 solution support, including technical awareness of system operations and product administration. Experience with application management, vendor software implementation, and broad-based business systems. Experience working with local or state government. Maintaining access and permissions for users and applications (Access to Active Directory)
Job Contributions
Triage customer incidents and requests, gathering relevant business requirements, and documenting them for analysis. Perform advanced troubleshooting for various county ITC-supported departments, including vendor assignment categorizing Facilitate meetings and serve as liaison between vendors, ITC support staff, and customers to conduct advanced troubleshooting Conduct a thorough root cause analysis for the vendor application to identify underlying issues and recommend business process improvements to prevent reoccurrence Evaluate work done by vendors and coordinate testing with personnel to ensure the issue has been resolved Analyze vendor trends and track vendor patches and upgrades to ensure applications are at the latest releases, security recommendations, and business requirements Evaluate workflow and methods, recommend, and implement appropriate automated systems and procedures Create and maintain technical and business process documentation Participate in vendor change management meetings, providing insights and assisting with the rollout of changes to ensure smooth integration into existing workflows Ensure compliance with ITIL best practices in incident management Other job duties as assigned
Working Conditions
This position is eligible for full-time remote work after a brief training period Exerting up to 10 pounds occasionally or negligible weights frequently; sitting most of the time Position is typically office or administrative work and is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions. Position may require travel to and from job-related locations during the course of a scheduled workday, subject to County policies regarding the use of County vehicles and/or private vehicles used on County business
