DEPARTMENT: Substation Construction and Maintenance (Sub C&M) - Wichita Service Center
LOCATION: Wichita, KS
PAY RANGE:
Administrative Assistant I: $38,600 - $48,300
Administrative Assistant II: $44,100 - $55,100
Sr Administrative Assistant: $51,400 - $64,300
Lead Administrative Assistant: $59,100 - $73,900

Scheduled Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. (Additional hours as required)

Summary of Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
The position provides administrative support to the Sub C&M Group. The position supports personnel spread across several Evergy facilities. Duties include, but are not limited to:

* Administrative support to Substation C&M including Supervisors, Engineers, and Field personnel
* Prepares special reports, charts, and presentations
* Assists in planning and coordinating training and safety events
* Support onboarding of new hires including creating and tracking service requests
* Create and track facility and IT requests for the supported work groups
* Prepare monthly expense reports for supported work groups
* Coordinate travel planning and scheduling for individuals and groups
* Coordinate facility scheduling and catering for large meetings and events
* Create requisitions and receipts for vendors. Reconcile time of the craft and submit to supervisors for approval

Education and Experience Requirements:

Requires a high school diploma or the equivalent. A Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, or related substation field is preferred. The ideal candidate will have administrative support experience supporting diverse operations and working with multiple supervisors.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Required:
Candidate must be very detail oriented and must be able to deal with large volumes of data and maintain a high level of accuracy. Requires strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. PeopleSoft and ARCOS experience or related systems experience is preferred. Must have the ability to apply creative problem solving and sound reasoning. Must be able to deal well with customers, handle multiple priorities, and process information in an accurate, orderly' and timely manner. Ability to organize workload, adapt quickly to change, and provide a high level of internal/external customer service. Must be a self-starter that is able to work both independently and as a member of a team.

Licenses and Testing Required:
Successful candidate must possess/maintain a valid driver's license. This job will require intermittent travel as needed.

Working Conditions:
Normal office working conditions and occasional field visits. Must have a satisfactory work record including good attendance
