The Opportunity
The Lead Quality Engineer position develops, implements and manages quality control systems designed to ensure production of airfield lighting and power systems (consistent with established standards, customer specifications and production goals). In addition, this position directly supervises the entire Quality Control department consisting of a Quality Control Engineer, Quality Control Inspector, and Quality Control Technician.

You will make an impact by....



  • Supervising the Quality Control Team
  • Ensuring a high level of internal and external customer service. Investigating (and correcting) customer issues and complaints relating to quality.
  • Assigning quality inspection and testing activities for the Quality team.
  • Developing and analyzing statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and to establish quality and reliability expectancy of finished products.
  • Providing technical and statistical expertise to employees.
  • Formulating, documenting, and maintaining quality control standards and on-going quality control objectives.
  • Coordinating objectives with production procedures in partnership with other plant leaders to maximize product reliability and minimize costs.
  • Creating, documenting, and implementing inspection criteria and procedures.
  • Interpreting quality control philosophy to key employees within company.
  • Providing, and overseeing inspection activity for product throughout production cycle.
  • Maintaining active role on internal continuous improvement teams.
  • Designing, developing and implementing quality control training programs.



The talent we want to inspire has...



  • BS in Engineering with minimum of 8 years manufacturing experience in a Quality role
  • Experience leading a team
  • Ability to perform data analysis using Statistical Methodology such as SPC, Capability Analysis, DOE, Gage R&R etc.
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in written form.
  • Must be proficient in MS Office, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Access, and Minitab.
  • Must have demonstrated excellent organization and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to conduct research into Quality issues and products as required.
  • Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
