Account Manager - Protective Films & Coatings

Territory: IL, WI, MN, IA, ND, SD | Preferred Base: Chicago or Milwaukee | ~50% Travel

Join Pregis, a global leader in innovative packaging solutions, as we grow our Protective Films & Coatings business. We're looking for a driven Account Manager to own a six-state territory and lead both new business development and strategic account growth. You'll sell through a mix of end users, converters, and distributors, while leveraging Pregis' unique water and solvent-based product lines.

Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, you'll develop sales strategies, drive forecasts, and strengthen relationships to deliver strong, margin-driven growth.

Desired Skills And Experience

The successful candidate embody both a 'hunter' and 'farmer' skillset; will possess an impressive track record of prospecting new accounts and new business; highly effective negotiation and communication skills; ability to prioritize and execute multiple competing priorities; a capacity to prepare and present compelling sales materials; and a passion to execute at each available opportunity. Manufacturing, technical or sales experience in the paper or plastics packaging industry is desired. Minimum of 3 - 5 years' sales experience required. Experience selling pressure sensitive adhesives, tapes, and/or films in the metals, automotive, construction, industrial and fabricating markets is ideal.

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to research, qualify, and convert prospects
  • Deep understanding of key markets, distribution channels, industry trends, and competitors
  • Ability to assess customer growth potential and adapt account strategies accordingly
  • Tech-savvy: proficient in Microsoft Office, ZoomInfo, CRMs, SAP C4C, and related systems



Compensation

The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Pregis' total compensation package. The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $85-$95K + Commission and Company Car for this salaried exempt role.
