Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Division Director to lead our Leadership & Organizational Development (L&OD) team within Human Resources. Our team works a 9x80 schedule located out of our Idaho Falls facilities with every other Friday off. We are seeking a dynamic leader with a strong background in leadership and organizational development.

L&OD Mission
Improve individual and organizational effectiveness by helping leaders:



  • Assess, select, develop, reinforce and promote the right talent for the right positions
  • Diagnose, design, develop, implement and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions to improve team and organizational effectiveness.

You will manage complex departments or divisions with multiple functional disciplines/occupations. Develop and establish operational policies within area managed. You may participate in strategy development for corporate function. This role requires detailed functional expertise and broad company knowledge.

Responsibilities:



  • Oversee activities through second or third level managers.
  • Manage professional employees and subordinate managers from multiple disciplines.
  • Ensure the effective operation of key organizational activities, including talent development, leadership training, and performance management.
  • Lead and manage complex programs that have a significant impact on the directorate or laboratory, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives
  • Accountable for division budget which may be broad and have far reaching impact on the business segment.
  • Oversee multiple functions, including various organizations, locations, departments, and technical disciplines, ensuring cohesive and effective operations.
  • Responsible for multiple functions, organizations, locations, departments, and/or technical disciplines.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement overall objectives and long-term goals for the division and directorate.
  • Establish and administer operational objectives, policies, procedures, and work plans.
  • Delegates assignments to subordinates and ensure their successful completion.
  • Develop, modify, and execute company policies that impact immediate operations and may have broader company-wide implications, such as talent management and organizational development policies.
  • Regularly interact with both lower and senior management on issues related to various functional areas, departments, and customer relations.
  • Utilize expertise in organizational development to persuade stakeholders on desired departmental outcomes.
  • Oversee and guide the work of others, ensuring that all tasks are performed efficiently and effectively through effective management practices.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in organizational development, human resources, or a related field, with at least 5 years in a management role. Experience in leading large-scale organizational change initiatives is preferred.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement effective organizational development strategies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.


Job Information:



  • The target pay range for this position is $177,502 - $291,551 annually. The full pay range is $124,848 - $324,600. At Idaho National Laboratory compensation decisions are determined using factors such as education, relevant experience, and other credentials.
