Iteris is seeking a highly analytical and data-driven Sales Operations Manager to support our sales team focused on traffic and transportation agencies and state and local governments (SLG). This role is pivotal in driving operational excellence, optimizing our sales technology stack, and enabling our team to succeed in complex, high-stakes government sales environments.

What you will be doing:




  • Build and maintain dashboards and models to monitor pipeline health, sales performance, conversion metrics, and KPIs
  • Analyze sales trends and historical data to support territory planning, forecasting, and resource allocation
  • Deliver actionable insights and strategic recommendations to sales leadership
  • Serve as the primary Salesforce administrator, managing user setup, permissions, workflows, custom fields, validation rules, and reports
  • Translate business needs into scalable Salesforce solutions; partner with stakeholders to scope and implement improvements
  • Ensure CRM is optimized for public-sector sales tracking, including custom fields and objects for agency and contract-specific data
  • Maintain data integrity and drive user adoption across the sales organization
  • Optimize sales processes to align with government buying cycles and procurement workflows
  • Identify and eliminate inefficiencies in the sales funnel through systems and process improvements
  • Lead initiatives to document and continuously improve the end-to-end sales process
  • Equip sales reps with training, tools, templates, and insights to support government sales execution
  • Develop and maintain sales documentation, playbooks, and training materials
  • Lead onboarding and continuous training for sales reps to ensure CRM adoption and process compliance
  • Assist in the design of sales territories and quotas, ensuring equitable coverage of public-sector regions and accounts
  • Align territory planning with market opportunity and sales capacity using data-driven insights
  • Collaborate with Finance, Marketing, Legal, and Product teams to align on sales strategies and operational priorities
  • Act as a strategic business partner to sales leadership, helping drive scalable growth and operational efficiency



What you need to be successful in this role:




  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or related field
  • Over five (5) years in Sales Operations, preferably in the public sector or transportation-related industries
  • Proven experience as a Salesforce Administrator (certification preferred)
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, BI tools, and CRM reporting
  • Familiarity with tools and platforms in the Salesforce ecosystem (e.g., CPQ, Tableau, AppExchange tools)
  • Experience leveraging AI or automation tools for data enrichment, lead scoring, pipeline insights, or sales forecasting
  • Experience with data governance, validation rules, and automation tools
  • Proficiency in Salesforce Sales Cloud, CRM Analytics, and Tableau
  • Proven experience in territory planning and quota setting, including designing equitable sales coverage models and aligning quotas with pipeline and historical performance data
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to use Salesforce and BI tools to optimize territory assignments, forecast revenue, and support strategic sales planning
  • Familiarity with government procurement processes and contract vehicles
  • Experience supporting sales forecasting processes and maintaining pipeline hygiene through Salesforce
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, Operations, Marketing, and Product teams to align operational processes with go-to-market strategy
  • Comfortable leading change initiatives and training sales teams on new tools, processes, and CRM best practices
  • Proven ability to partner with Sales, Finance, and Sales Ops to align operational processes with GTM strategy



Iteris anticipates paying between $108,400 and $120,700 for this role. However, actual pay offered may vary depending on job related knowledge, skills, and experience.
