Position Summary: The Project Support Associate - Shipping and Receiving Support Services is responsible for managing and supporting day-to-day logistics, shipping, and reporting functions. This role involves the processing of inbound and outbound shipments, including accountable and hazardous materials, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring timely and accurate delivery tracking. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and experienced with shipping procedures and documentation. Key Responsibilities: Shipping & Receiving Operations:
- Process inbound and outbound shipments including FedEx, UPS, and other accountable carriers.
- Handle and ship hazardous materials in compliance with regulations.
- Manage and implement signature controls for overnight and accountable packages.
- Maintain accurate logs for package receipt, storage, and retrieval.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Prepare and distribute reports as needed for internal tracking and analysis.
- Maintain detailed package logs and records for future reference or audits.
- Track and manage departmental allocation and chargebacks for shipping costs.
- Provide delivery verification and research shipping inquiries upon request.
Additional Support:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure packages are processed and delivered on time.
- Support internal teams with logistics questions and special project shipping needs.
- Perform other duties and support tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
- Experience in shipping/receiving, logistics, or office services preferred.
- Knowledge of FedEx, UPS, and handling accountable/hazardous materials preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Strong customer service orientation and communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
