Main Responsibilities
  • Applies the safety guidelines linked to their activities including the wearing of Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Transport Heavy Equipment Safely operatoe a lowboy truck and trailer to transport oversized heavy construction equipment, such as excavators, dozers, and fron-end loaders, to various job sites
  • Prepares for their work: works independently with the analysis of the information concerning moving oversized and heavy equipment from jobsite to jobsite, transfer of vehicles to various construction site, installs signage on truck follows all applicapable DOT traffic rules for safe work.
  • Load and unload Equipment Efficiently load and unload construction equipment onto and from the trailer, ensuring proper securing and safety measures are followed.
  • Route Planing Plan and execute transportation routes that comply with permit regulations for oversized loads, consdidering road conditions and traffic.
  • General Labor Assist with manual labor tasks as needed, including securing loads and performing minor maintenance on equipment.
  • Takes care of the proper adjustment of their equipment and vehiclesbefore operating them.
  • Carries out the work, operating the vehicles according to the prerogatives of the required authorizations and ensuring safety.
  • Carries out workbased on precise directives from their hierarchy.
  • Maintains vehicles: clearing and verification of vehicles after use, carries out standard upkeep (minor repairs) in observance of the company's environmental guidelines and the regulations,notifies their manager in the event of anomalies.
Qualifications

CDL License Must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) with a clean driving record.

Experience Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in truck driving, specifically with lowboy trailers and heavy equipment.

Physical Fitness Ability to perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading heavy equipment.

Communication Skills Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and supervisors.

Working Conditions

Varied Shifts Must be available to work varied shifts and schedules, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Weather Condiditons Willingness to work in diverse weather conditions and environments

Team Environment Work as part of a team, assisting co-workers and supervisors with various tasks.
