POSITION SUMMARY:



  • The Human Resources Business Partner reports to the President, Chefs' Toys
  • Located in Fountain Valley, CA
  • Full-Time
  • Hybrid
  • 30%-40% Travel throughout California



The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a strategic partner to business leaders and department managers, providing expertise and guidance on all aspects of human resources management. The HRBP collaborates closely with business leaders to align HR initiatives with business objectives, drive organizational effectiveness, and support the development and retention of talent. The HRBP will demonstrate California legal expertise offering sound guidance to leadership and employees alike.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Strategic Business Partner:

    • Partner with business leaders to understand their strategic objectives, challenges, and talent needs.
    • Provide guidance and support on HR-related matters, including workforce planning, organizational design, talent management, and employee engagement.


  • Talent Acquisition & Management:

    • Work closely with hiring managers to proactively identify staffing needs and partner with Talent Acquisition to develop recruitment strategies.
    • Participate in the selection process, conduct interviews, and assist in making hiring decisions.
    • Support onboarding and orientation programs to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.


  • Employee Relations & Performance Management:

    • Provide coaching and guidance to managers on employee relations issues, performance management, and disciplinary actions.
    • Assist in resolving workplace conflicts, grievances, and other employee-related issues in a fair and consistent manner.
    • Support the performance management process by providing training, tools, and resources to managers and employees.


  • Training & Development:

    • Identify training and development needs within the organization and collaborate with HR and business leaders to develop and implement training programs.
    • Support career development initiatives, succession planning, and talent management efforts to build a high-performing workforce.


  • HR Policy & Compliance:

    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
    • Interpret and communicate HR policies, procedures, and programs to managers and employees.
    • Conduct investigations and audits as needed to address compliance issues and mitigate risks.


  • Employee Engagement & Retention:

    • Partner with business leaders to foster a positive work environment and promote employee engagement and satisfaction.
    • Develop and implement initiatives to enhance employee morale, motivation, and retention.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:



  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent military or practical experience.
  • 4 - 6 years of progressive HR experience, including experience as an HRBP or equivalent role.
  • HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) preferred but not required.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel between the twelve Chefs' Toys locations throughout California.
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check post offer acceptance.

The range provided represents the national average pay range for this position and is considered to be a general guideline. Pay for this position will reflect the candidate's unique qualifications and may be higher or lower than the range provided based on employee geographic location. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other local, state, and federal law.

In addition to base salary, this role will be eligible for participation in TriMark's' benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, 401K (with employer match), etc. Leadership positions may also qualify for participation in bonus programs commensurate with role and scope of responsibility.
