Posting Summary
Rutgers School of Health Professions ( SHP) is seeking a Student Assistant to work in the Rehabilitation and Movement Sciences department.
As part of a grant award through the Rutgers Equity Alliance for Community Health ( REACH) program, the Student Assistant will assist with data collection, data analysis, and other tasks related to the project.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

  • Completes the appropriate training to serve as a research assistant (CITI training, project-specific training with the PI).
  • Assists with a retrospective chart review project by extracting data from electronic charts and processing data
  • Assists with focus group transcription checking and content analysis as directed by the PI.
  • Understands and adheres to Rutgers' compliance standards as they appear in RBHS's Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Salary Details $17 per hour
Minimum Salary 15.49
Mid Range Salary 75.00
Maximum Salary 150.00

Minimum Education and Experience
  • Currently enrolled in undergraduate or graduate program in SLP or related field such as Linguistics, Speech & Hearing Sciences.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • The role is mainly sedentary; the candidate should have adequate visual and fine motor skills to review electronic charts and record data on a computer or tablet; the candidate should have adequate listening and note-taking skills to assist with focus groups and time management skills to meet the demands of the position while also being a full time student.
  • The candidate must have the ability to independently travel to and from the work sites.


WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • The work environment will be indoor facilities in the Stanley Bergen Building in Newark and remote site (student's home).
