Senior Software Developer

Dexian, LLC (f/k/a Digital Intelligence Systems, LLC) seeks 5 Senior Software Developer in McLean, VA to:

Develop applications to meet business requirements. Build, deploy, test, and debug components in accordance with SDLC best practices. Participate in technical design discussions and produce high-performance, highly scalable, and resilient software components. Design and develop quality solutions by evolving engineering processes and technical capabilities. Utilize a quality-first approach to software development by producing unit tests and automated functional testing. Work to promote solid design principles for software development in a cloud-based environment to implement code that can easily be modified, tested, extended, and refactored. Participate in code reviews with other developers, including security checks. Participate in Agile Ceremonies Daily Standups/Sprint Planning/Refinements/Retrospectives, and Sprint demos.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or the foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Math, or a closely related field and 7 years of progressively responsible experience in a software development occupation. Experience in a software development occupation must include the following:

• 7 years of experience using JAVA, JAVA multithreading, JAVA frameworks, tracing expertise with JAVA applications and related technologies
• 7 years of experience with using RESTful web service and SOAP web services
• 7 years of experience with cloud computing; developing and deploying cloud applications using Azure or AWS
• 7 years of experience with CI/CD and infrastructure as code;
• 7 years of experience with Java Virtual Machines (JVM) Internals and profiling, JVM memory and garbage collection tuning and heap dump analysis

Travel and work in various unanticipated work locations in the US, to be determined by employer. Part-time telecommuting is permitted.
