A.I.S., Inc. (AIS) is a national scientific services firm supporting maritime activities requiring certification of compliance with environmental regulations as well as collecting data for use by Federal, State, Municipal, and other government agencies along the US coastline. h environmental regulations as well as collecting data for use by Federal, State, Municipal, and other government agencies along the US coastline. AIS is looking for a Deep Sea Coral Researcher to serve as co-coordinator for the Northeast Region Deep Sea Coral Initiative and subsequent projects in support of the Habitat Ecology Branch (HEB). Primary Function: The Habitat Ecology Branch (HEB) is the lead for the Northeast Region Deep Sea Coral Initiative (NERDSCI), which requires the organization and implementation of field surveys, collection of biological samples, collection of video and still-photo images, and annotation and analyses of said images. In addition, HEB also analyzes imagery from databases operated by other organizational units within NOAA as well as non-NOAA entities. Duties/Responsibilities:
Compensation: Candidates will be paid an hourly rate to be negotiated, and total compensation will vary depending on the candidates' depth of experience. This is a full-time position.
