HX5 is currently seeking a Senior Test & Evaluation Specialist to join our WPS team at Eglin AFB, Florida.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the liaison between the WPS team and the Navy.
  • Provide knowledge and experience in weapon planning systems and subsystems with emphasis on Navy applications; specifically, F/A-18 operations and mission planning.
  • Analyze weapon and user requirements for derived subsystem requirements associated with navigation and guidance systems.
  • Provide T&E technical and engineering support by documenting the review, test concept development, test methodology development, test plan development, test execution, and test reporting, data reduction and analysis, and end-user operational testing.
  • Review and evaluate the quantity, quality, and overall adequacy of results and conclusions drawn from accomplishment of test engineering tasks.
  • Develop new and innovative approaches to problems encountered, and accomplish assigned tasks with efficiency, timeliness, and thoroughness.
  • Evaluate the configuration, capability, and operational relevance of test environments and ensure they are properly available for the thorough testing of software releases (e.g. fault insertion/fault identification).

Education and Experience:

  • Associate's degree and twenty (20) years of professional experience; OR Bachelor's degree and fifteen(15) years of professional experience

Preferences

  • Current or former pilot preferred (F-18 / Hornet ideal)

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

  • This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week and offers a flexible work schedule Monday through Friday during core business hours.

Other Position Requirements:

  • Proof of U.S. Citizenship is a requirement for this position.
  • Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance by date of hire.
  • Must be able to travel as necessary.
