The Opportunity:

Commvault is seeking an exceptional technical leader to serve as the Sr. Dir of Partner Technical Solutions & Design within our Global Partner Organization (GPO). This role will lead a global team of solution architects, technical specialists, and partner-facing technology directors focused on co-innovating and co-selling with strategic partners across multiple routes to market-including Global System Integrators (GSIs), Technology Alliances, Cloud Service Providers (CSPs), and Managed Services Providers (MSPs).

This leader will be instrumental in shaping and executing our partner technology strategy, aligning Commvault's solutions with partner offerings, and driving joint technical integration and go-to-market initiatives that accelerate revenue and deepen partner engagement.

What you'll do...



  • Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing global team of technical architects and specialists aligned to strategic partners.
  • Define the technical strategy and engagement model for joint solution development, field enablement, and partner co-selling.
  • Drive alignment across Commvault product, engineering, GTM, and partner teams to support successful joint initiatives.
  • Understand and map partner offerings, identifying joint solution opportunities where Commvault can deliver unique value.
  • Own the technical relationship with strategic partners, providing thought leadership, innovation guidance, and solution expertise.
  • Lead the creation of "Plan of Record" architectures for technical integrations, co-development efforts, and productized solutions.
  • Translate business objectives into technical solutions with clearly defined insertion points for Commvault technologies.
  • Guide the creation of partner-specific technical content for awareness, enablement, and field usage.
  • Collaborate with business units to align partner solutions with Commvault's productization roadmap.
  • Serve as the technical interface between strategic partners and Commvault's CTO, Product, Development, and Field teams.
  • Support and train regional partner SMEs on solution offerings, deployment best practices, and architectural value.
  • Act as a senior escalation point for partner solution design and triage in complex customer opportunities.
  • Champion the ongoing evolution of our joint offerings through feedback loops with partners, internal stakeholders, and the customer field.
  • Identify new routes to market, insertion points, and use cases for Commvault technology through partner engagement and co-design.


Who you are...



  • 10+ years in technical leadership roles, including experience building and managing technical partner or alliance teams.
  • Proven track record of architecting joint solutions and driving technical integration with GSIs, CSPs, and Tech Alliances.
  • Strong understanding of data protection, security, hybrid cloud architectures, and enterprise software ecosystems.
  • Travel 25-30% ( 1 week a month)
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and lead global teams in a matrixed environment.
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and executive presence skills.
  • Deep technical expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), data management, or cybersecurity solutions.
  • Experience supporting a global partner ecosystem at an enterprise software or SaaS company.
  • Prior experience launching joint offerings or co-sell GTM motions with strategic partners.
