Job Summary

Knowledge and Skills

• Working knowledge of HVAC and related Mechanical systems.
• Working knowledge of Pneumatic and Digital Controls is desired.
• Working knowledge of General Building Maintenance and control systems.
• Experience with the operation of two or more of the following equipment: Boilers, Air Compressors, House Chillers, Cooling Towers, Centrifugal Pumps, Variable Frequency Drives, Heat Exchangers, Air Handling systems for HVAC.
• Skilled in the use of standard hand, shop, and power tools
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-starter with good organizational skills.
• Familiar with MS Office.

Specific Duties:

• Conduct maintenance and troubleshooting activities to support the site, its equipment and systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair building systems such, mechanical seals, centrifugal pumps, general piping.
• Diligent management of individual work requests.
• Assist with spare parts inventory.
• Communicate effectively with scientists, engineers and production staff.
• Ensure functions are performed safely with respect to applicable regulations and company policies.
