Overview:
Belcan is seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented Manufacturing Project Engineer to join our team onsite in Middletown, CT. This role is ideal for technically minded engineers with a passion for both project execution and process optimization. You"ll support cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment-balancing manufacturing engineering, project coordination, and customer engagement using Agile methodologies.
This is a hands-on position requiring strong organizational, communication, and technical skills. You"ll work closely with customers and internal teams to drive engineering deliverables, resolve roadblocks, and improve overall project efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
*Serve as a customer-facing point of contact-lead meetings, provide updates, and resolve project challenges.
*Support manufacturing readiness, quality initiatives, and process improvements.
*Create and manage Work Instruction Packages, action items, and project plans.
*Evaluate engineering tasks and workflows; assign, track, and drive completion across disciplines.
*Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
*Analyze and visualize project metrics, trends, and forecasts.
*Coordinate across engineering, supply chain, quality, and manufacturing teams.
*Contribute to tool and fixture design reviews, data analysis, and cost-reduction projects.
*Deliver professional presentations and reports to stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:
*Bachelor"s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business, or a related STEM field.
*1 or more years of experience in project engineering, manufacturing engineering, or similar (internship experience considered).
*Proven ability to manage tasks independently and within a team.
*Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and strong customer-facing presence.
*Strong proficiency in Excel; familiarity with tools like SAP, SmartSheets, SharePoint, or Teamcenter is a plus.
*U.S. Citizenship required due to the nature of the work.

Preferred Skills:
*Experience working in machine shop or manufacturing environments.
*Knowledge of lean manufacturing, PPAP, or quality engineering practices.
*AutoCAD and blueprint reading skills.
*Familiarity with GD&T and engineering documentation.
