An Electro-mechanical Technician III job is available with a service client in Piscataway, NJ. In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day troubleshooting and preventative/predictive maintenance on ASRS machines. You will act as a senior material handling technician on all equipment that is installed at a specific site location. You will provide assistance and mentor lower-level employees.
This role will be working from Monday through Thursday, 2:30 pm - 11 pm, and Friday, 1:30 pm - 10 pm. Overtime and occasional weekend work may be required.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Repair and maintain Material Handling Equipment (MHE), including belt tracking, component adjustment/replacement, and component lubrication.
* Complete preventative maintenance routines, documentation, and procedures, ensuring strict adherence to our quality standards.
* Apply electrical test equipment for troubleshooting electrical circuitry and effectively implement solutions.
* Build and close work orders in the asset management system with comprehensive data, including labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used.
* Troubleshoot semi-complex problems, determining the resources needed to resolve them efficiently.
* Locate and supervise spare parts from inventory, ensuring availability for all necessary repairs.
* Perform routine maintenance and equipment testing to guarantee they meet our stringent specifications.
* Respond to service calls, addressing equipment failures and faults promptly.
* Identify problems as they occur and take appropriate steps to resolve them.
* Develop and maintain positive working relationships across all levels of the organization, encouraging an environment of collaboration and support.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* High School diploma or equivalent experience required. An Associate's degree or specialized skill training/certification is preferred.
* General knowledge of a technical or specialty area.
* Proven experience in a similar role, with successful demonstration of responsibilities as outlined.
* Ability to lift and move material up to 50 pounds.
* Regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching both below the waist and above the head.
* Occasionally push and pull wheeled dollies loaded with products up to 100 pounds.
* Functional dexterity in both hands and wrists.
* Ability to climb ladders and gangways safely and without limitation.
* Job may involve tight spaces, dust, fumes, temperature variations, noise, vibration, standing on concrete, and wet surfaces.
* Ability to stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours.
* Flexibility to cover multiple shifts and holiday hours as needed.
