Installation Associate
Job Description:
*** This associate could be working offsite during that time the associate could be receiving prevailing wages.***
- Maintenance and repair of Wastewater Pumping Stations
- Perform water main taps
- Other water and wastewater service
- Working in confined space possibly below ground.
- At the site the associate would perform duties
- installation of large waste water pipes or water pipes and will be placed in concrete structure
Must haves:
- 0-1+ years of experience for entry level installers (we are willing to train the right candidate to grow their career with us)
- Physically capable to Stand, lift, bend, twist and pull for full 8 hour shift
- 1-2 years Prior experience with construction or installations.
Will arrive at the *** facility to then be driven to the *** installation site. Work is performed under the continuing supervision of a designated supervisor. The employee may be expected to give guidance and direction to less experienced employees.
Responsibilities:
- Operates a variety of standard power tools and equipment in lift station
- Installation, maintenance, and repair activities on a regular basis.
- Performs basic installation, maintenance and repair work on Lift station equipment including pumps, controls, lines, valves, motors, and the like.
- Inspects, operates, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs equipment.
- Assists with construction and installation projects as assigned.
- Prepares and maintains accurate work records.
- Performs all duties in accordance with applicable policies, procedures, regulations, and standards of quality and safety.
- Attends meetings, as appropriate, and training to enhance job knowledge and skills.
- Is considered essential staff during emergencies and may be required to work long hours at times.
- Participate in associate meetings and communicate any concerns to management.
- Use 3rd party software applications entering data to document work performed daily.
Qualifications:
- 0-1 years of experience for entry level installers (we are willing to train the right candidate to grow their career with us)
- 1-2 years Prior experience with construction or installations
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to express ideas clearly and completely when speaking to customers.
- Document important job notes in a way a non-trades person would understand.
- Possess mechanical skills and willingness to learn - basic plumbing, electrical, and construction skills are required
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating, and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Ability to read and understand product specifications required.
- Outstanding attention to detail
- Organization, time management, and creative problem-solving skills
- Must be able to lift 50+ pound objects frequently and 90+ pound objects occasionally
Work Schedule:
Monday through Thursday,10 hour shift, 7am to 5 pm
Overtime if necessary. Time must be flexible.
