The Opportunity with McKinstry

We are currently seeking an ERP Product Manager to join our Business Technology division in Seattle, WA. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the full product life cycle of our Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) ERP system, specifically D365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O). This includes gathering product requirements, developing business cases, and working closely with developers, IT, software engineering teams, and software vendors.

  • Maintain knowledge of Finance and Accounting (F&A) existing technology solutions and future needs, with a focus on our D365 and D365 F&O environments, along with industry trends and competitive threats.
  • Define enhancements and features within D365/D365 F&O in collaboration with F&A stakeholders.
  • Manage the product life cycle (including modifications, upgrades, and maintenance) through end of life.
  • Assist in the development and management of the product backlog for D365.
  • Produce well-written requirements and design specifications using standard templates and language understandable to both customers and developers.
  • Partner with IT, consultants, and software vendors to specify, deliver, and maintain solutions and integrations.
  • Lead coordination and documentation of project activities, including product introduction meetings, design review meetings, and user acceptance testing for D365/D365 F&O.
  • Work with Technology Partners to successfully deliver projects, including user stories, functional specifications, and testing.
  • Manage and follow up on client requests related to functionality.
  • Deliver accurate, high-quality, and timely results in product administrative support.
  • Serve as a steward of McKinstry's technology solutions, with a strong focus on maximizing the value of our D365 platform.

What You Need to Succeed at McKinstry

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience required.
  • 3-5 years' experience in system administration, configuration, implementation, and support of ERP solutions required. Direct experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365/F&O) is required.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL required.
  • Working knowledge of Waterfall and Agile methodologies required.
  • Ability to successfully communicate with developers, stakeholders, and end users to align on and deliver D365 product enhancements.
  • Knowledge of SharePoint required.
  • Outstanding written/oral communication, organizational, and analytical skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Curiosity and interest in technology solutions to improve efficiency and profitability.
  • Knowledge of software development methodologies a plus.
  • Experience with ServiceNow and DevOps a plus.
  • Experience managing bug triage, issue resolution, change, and risk management is desired.
  • Previous experience in the A/E/C industry desired.

The pay range for this position is $80,100 - $134,400 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. Base pay information is based on market location.
