Summary
Responsible for overseeing and coordinating the administrative and operational aspects of the surgical service line within the facility.

Essential Functions
-Coordinate and facilitate the scheduling of surgical procedures, ensuring optimal utilization of operating rooms, equipment, and personnel.

-Serve as a point of contact for surgical patients and their families, providing information, support, and guidance throughout the surgical process.

-Manage the inventory and availability of surgical supplies, instruments, and equipment.

-Implement and maintain quality assurance initiatives to ensure compliance with regulatory standards, best practices, and organizational policies.

-Foster effective communication and collaboration among members of the surgical team, including surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and support staff.

-Develop and implement educational programs and training sessions for surgical staff to enhance their knowledge and skills.

-Maintain accurate and complete records of surgical procedures, patient information, and other relevant documentation.

Education
Bachelor's Degree Healthcare Management required

Licenses and Credentials

Experience
Surgical/Perioperative Experience 2-3 years preferred and Medical Office/Hospital/Managed Care Experience 2-3 years required
