This Position reports to:

Local Business Line Manager Marine Sytem
Your role and responsibilities:

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Senior Project Lead Engineer for our Local Business Line Marine Systems US & Canada. The role will be responsible for Project Planning & Execution, Team Coordination, Technical Leadership, Mentorship, Documentation & Reporting and Budget Management related to assigned projects. In this role, you will have the opportunity to act as the technical lead for all engineering activities in assignments. Each day, you will ensure that the activities related to engineering disciplines within the project are executed in an efficient and cost-effective manner. You will also showcase your expertise by providing technical support to commissioning and start-up activities.

The work model for the role is hybrid, but can be remote for the right candidate (#LI-hybrid)

This role is contributing to the Process Automation, Marine & Ports division in Houston, TX.

You will be mainly accountable for:
  • Ensuring that engineering is developed with complete information, all multidisciplinary information has been included in the engineering development.

  • Creating project engineering proposals through coordination of proposal documents and engineering estimates. Collaborating on project installation, commissioning, and site activities, to clarify potential issues or provide solutions to rectify the engineering errors.
  • Supporting the Contract Manager in issuing claims (new scope of work, cost impact, time impact, risk quantifications Supports Contract Manager in issuing claims (new scope etc.)
  • Working with customers to shape and deliver solutions, seeking feedback and innovating with the customer to drive and deliver improvements.
  • Utilizing standard processes, tools and techniques Ensures that engineering activities comply with required safety regulations and contractual requirements.

Qualifications for the role
  • 8+ years of professional experience

  • MSc or BSc in Electrical Engineering or relevant field and/or relevant Marine industry experience
  • Experience with AC & DC electrical systems
  • Experience with standard and alternative Marine industry power sources (Diesel Gensets, Fuel Cells, ESS & UPS)
  • Experience & knowledge of relevant industry regulatory & classification standards
  • Ability to independently work
  • Authorization to work in the United States
