JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

The Department of History in The College of the Liberal Arts at The Pennsylvania State University invites applications for a part-time lecturer position.

The department is currently looking for a specialist in European History.

Part-time Lecturers are expected to teach one to two courses per semester

A master's degree in a related field is required. * Candidates with Ph.D. degrees in the discipline may also be assigned to teach upper level undergraduate and graduate courses. The anticipated start date for these positions is Fall 2025. In addition, successful candidates must either have demonstrated a commitment to building an inclusive, equitable, and diverse campus community, or describe one or more ways they would envision doing so, given the opportunity.

These are one semester, non-tenure track appointments with the possibility of reappointment. Part-time lecturers normally teach one to two courses per semester.
