This is a hybrid role based out of our HQ office near Portland, Oregon. The expectation is for employees to be in-office 3 days or more per week, depending on business need. This in-office expectation is subject to change at business discretion.
Columbia Brands USA LLC seeks a Principal Full Stack Engineer in Portland, OR responsible for utilizing technical, data engineering, software development, and continuous delivery skillsets; Communicating effectively, building relationships, and delivering high-quality software in a complex cloud-based world-class data platform integrating data to/from Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations platform to other enterprise systems; Engaging at the team and direct management level; Demonstrating a proven ability to drive for results; Supporting enhancements in the development, delivery, and maintenance portions of the software delivery lifecycle using Azure cloud services; Utilizing knowledge of cloud-based data processing in batch and real-time processes; Managing multiple competing priorities and triaging issues occurring at all levels of the data software stack; Working with IT management to improve the software engineering processes, practices, and tools associated with continuously building, deploying, and updating software and environments; Participating in Release Deployment and Post Go-Live activities; Providing status to the release coordinator on a regular basis for the release; Collaborating with Development and DevOps teams to define the new branching, merging and releasing process to support frequent deployments into production; Maintaining multiple concurrent tasks required for release delivery, including status updates through collaboration tools (e.g. Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence); Performing deployment tasks with limited supervision, and providing high-quality documentation of all tasks to facilitate cross-training and knowledge transfer; and Supporting release efforts and to triage, escalate, and resolve mission-critical issues. Requirements include: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (foreign equivalent acceptable), plus 36 months experience in job offered or related role. Experience to include 3 years experience with SOL, able to develop prototype data models and write complex queries on demand; 2 years with Agile software development experience, including working with production data delivery; 2 years of experience in a global IT outsourcing organization required; 2 years experience with Python and/or PySpark development languages; 2 years experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 DIXF/DMF; 1 year of experience with Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks is required (experience in Airflow and AWS is acceptable); Experience in Cloud Architecture and traditional data management architectures; Experience in release management process across multiple business applications and environments, i.e., development, test, staging, and production; Working with IT management to improve the software engineering processes, practices, and tools; Experience with enterprise-scale development, testing, QA, and release management.
